Presidents' Forum Nov. 2020 Two-day Virtual Convening
A Virtual Convening for Foundation Leadership Teams: Planning for When Things Fall Apart • 10 a.m.-noon and 1:30-3 p.m. CT, Nov. 9-10
As 2020 elections approached, many Americans felt deeply unhappy with the state of the nation. As the United States simultaneously struggled with the dual pandemics of racism and COVID-19, an economic recession, and protests about police violence and racial justice, we sought to offer a space for foundation leaders to convene one week immediately after the elections.
The third 2020 two-day convening of the Presidents' Forum consisted of four virtual sessions on Nov. 9 and 10. The sessions on both days were from 10:00 a.m.-noon and 1:30-3:00 p.m. CT.
November 9 was open to previous and new attendees. Attendees heard from special guest speaker Rashad Robinson, president, Color of Change, and engaged with their peers in the philanthropic sector.
November 10 was for foundation presidents and CEOs that have not previously attended a Presidents’ Forum session. This convening was also open to foundation senior staff*.
*Presidents were required to attend in order for their colleagues to participate.
